What is Microblading? Everything You Need to Know About Microblading!

Doesn’t the word “microblading” seem a bit dangerous? Yes, it does. But, this seemingly dangerous thing is the reason for the beauty of eyebrows in many people. Right, danger and beauty walking side by side!

Eyebrows have a great influence on the beauty of a face. Microblading is a technique that can make unattractive eyebrows attain lovable structure and become eye-catching. Most people who wanted to beautify their eyebrows have already gone through this procedure, and some are planning to join the community.

In this article, we will discuss the microblading procedure, it’s durability, and the benefits of microblading.

What is Microblading?

Tattooing is not a new era’s invention. The ancient humans were also gurus of it. But this semi-permanent tattooing (for the purpose of beautifying eyebrows) has gained popularity within the last 25 years.

Microblading (also termed as hair-like strokes) is a kind of a tattooing procedure in which tiny blade-like needles are used to cut the skin under the eyebrows. These cuts are made to add some pigmentation to the eyebrows. The pigmentation is added in such an admirable way that it becomes hardly possible to distinguish the new eyebrows from real eyebrows.

Actually, cuts make a shape of hair-like strokes, giving the “artificial eyebrows” a look of natural hair. Plus, the width of the needles precisely the same as the hair width.

The procedure:

The procedure starts with the decision of what the client wants and what suits the client’s face and especially eyes. Don’t be shy to show some pictures to our technician if you need a specific design. The pigment is also selected. After that, our highly experienced Shirani technician makes a sketch that defines the tiniest details of the possible results.

After finalization, the artist implements what had been decided by carving hair-like strokes and pigmenting them.

The Cost:

Does it hurt?

Blatantly, yes! It would hurt. But the pain will be less than tattooing, thanks to the numbing ointment.

How Long Does Microblading Last?

Not forever (of course, it’s not an actual tattoo). The possible range can be anywhere from one to three years. The durability depends upon the factors like medications, exposure to UV rays, the pigment quality used in the procedure, and various elements in skincare products.

Yearly touchups are needed to maintain microblading effects for long, especially in oily skin individuals as the ink blurs and fades faster in them.

What are the Benefits of Microblading?

The benefits of microblading are:

● First and foremost, your eyebrows will look better than before.

● The results are long-lasting giving an edge to the people that are tired of using eyebrow pencils.

● Not much maintenance is needed. Just yearly touchups!

● For those who have lost their eyebrows (as in chemotherapy), microblading is a blessing

● The process does not have any side effects if done perfectly (handed over it to a professional, used sterilized needles, etc.).

● Unlike the pencil-made eyebrows, micro bladed eyebrows are water-proof.

● The pigment won’t lose the coloration. It will just become unsaturated and will need to be refilled.
